It started
with Albie.

Our Boston Terrier Albie needed a muzzle. We tried several — including custom-made ones — but nothing quite worked. His flat face, short snout, and small frame meant standard shapes simply didn't fit him well. So we designed one ourselves.

While working through that process, we realised how many dogs are in the same position. Brachycephalic breeds and small dogs are routinely left out of standard muzzle design. The Muzzle Studio exists to change that.

We're a one-person studio in the UK, not a factory. Every design is thought through and every muzzle is made at our home, one dog at a time. After months of developing our muzzle system with our founding group of dogs, we're now open. Every muzzle is a complete custom build, designed from scratch with only your dog in mind — never an altered off-the-shelf muzzle.

Standard muzzles are built around standard snouts. We started with brachycephalic breeds like Albie — and quickly found they're not the only dogs left out. For any dog whose face doesn't match the standard — flat faces, unusual snouts, dogs between sizes — that means muzzles that don't sit right, restrict breathing, or simply won't stay on.

We don't think any dog should go without a properly fitting muzzle just because their face doesn't conform to a template. Every dog deserves to feel safe, and every owner deserves peace of mind.
